Fitting Information

The Cobra, King Cobra and Viper share the same grip frame. This is true for all variants and calibers of these guns currently available.

A locating pin is required for proper fit. If your current grip is a rubber grip that screws from the bottom, you will need a locating pin. Once you have selected your grip, please make sure to add a locating pin if needed.

Grip Size Information

With the reintroduction of these small frame revolvers, Colt elected to utilize a slightly modified version of their classic D Frame (from such popular vintage models as the Detective Special). This grip frame is very versatile, but can seem a bit undersized, especially on certain King Cobra models.

Those looking for a larger grip may prefer our Oversized Grip. This grip is significantly longer and larger than the standard rubber monogrip found on many models. The backstrap remains exposed while the finger grooves are much deeper and wider than the OEM grips. This added size fills the hand, providing a more confident grip and improved recoil distribution.
